A reconstruction of one of two C-7s operated by the ACE as of 1985-1987. Led by ex-Air America-pilot William J Cooper, and ex-USAF officers Bob Dutton and Dick Gadd, this was a private venture contracted by the CIA, that mostly operated from ‘the Farm’. Other than the C-123K shot down over Nicaragua, none wore any national markings and – apparently – no other markings or registrations either. Both Caribous retained their – meanwhile badly worn out, and very dirty – ‘South East Asia’ camouflage patterns in tan (FS30219), green (FS34102) and dark green (FS34079) on upper surfaces and sides, and light grey (FS36622) on undersurfaces.
