A Boeing 727C of World Airways. This company, based in Oakland, California, was contracted by the US government to evacuate refugees from Da Nang, beginning from 25 March 1975. The chaotic situation at the local airport forced the cancellation of the air bridge after four days. The last B 727 took off with a record 330 passengers on board. (Artwork by Tom Cooper)
