An even larger number of Su-34s deployed at Hmeimim AB, starting from November 2015, wore this camouflage pattern, consisting of light bluegreen, medium blue-green and dark blue-green on top surfaces (with a big ‘anti-glare panel’ applied in black-green in front of the cockpit), and light blue-green on undersurfaces. Many had their radomes and diverse panels painted in traffic white, while others had them painted in fog grey. Top inset is shown the front part of the Su-34 assigned to the Akhtubinsk State Flight Test Centre (known as Valery Chkalov 929 GLIT), as worn by at least one of aircraft deployed at Hmeimim AB starting in March 2016. Below ‘Red 02’ are KAB-500S-E and KAB-1500LG (left side), and Kh-38MA anti-ship missile (sighted several times under Su-34s in Syria of 2016 and 2017). (Artworks by Tom Cooper)
