Income from rapidly increasing oil and gas prices in the mid-1970s enabled the Ministry of National Security to acquire three Aerospatiale SA.341G/H Gazelles in 1976. While never armed, these were operated by the Air Division and then the National Helicopter Services Ltd. and received unique livery in highly polished white and orange, as well as service titles ‘National Security: Government of Trinidad and Tobago’, on their booms. Registrations – 9Y-TFN, 9Y-TFO, and 9Y-TGU (shown here) were worn at the rear of the fuselage. (Artwork by Tom Cooper)
