field_t_remark
Although seeing no action since 1991, the Soviet-made 9K31 (ZRK-BD Strela-1, NATO-reporting name ‘SA-9 Gaskin’) supplied by Libya remains one of the primary air defence weapons of the ELPS and is always shown in its military parades held in the Tindouf area, in south-western Algeria. Generally, they are painted in dark sand overall, usually enhanced through the addition of a disruptive pattern in olive green. The box-like missile containers for 9M31 or 9M31M missiles are usually left in olive green overall. (Artwork by David Bocquelet)
